Privacy Policy & Disclosures

What’s up, reader? Need a digital Ambien to put you to sleep? Then get ready for a digital smorgasbord of tedious legalese. Yay!

The internet can be a shady place with people hey hun!-ing you into buying things and pick-pocketing info from your back pocket while you’re not looking, so it’s important to hold that online fanny pack of yours close. To put you more at ease, we're gonna be as transparent with you as possible because all we want for you is to feel secure while perusing our little corner of the web.

Here’s Some Boring Legal Stuff We Have to Mention…

What information is collected on this site?

Women’s Tennis Life (WTL) collects as little information as possible from users looking to drop a comment or send a message. This might include a name (it doesn’t even have to be your real one) and e-mail address. If you’re uncomfortable with leaving these details then feel free to pass on commenting. While we love hearing from you, what we love more is being an entity you can trust.

Cookies / IP address tracking

WTL  uses cookies as a way to lure you into our candy house and INTO THE OVEN. Just kidding. On a serious note that is painful to us, like all pages on the World Wide Web, cookies are used to uniquely identify users for the purpose of log files, posting comments, and potentially other things like contests, polls, voting, etc. Pretty much anywhere you go on the internet, there’s gonna be cookies, and they’re the oatmeal raisin kind that you might not love but would eat if you were super hungry.

Your personal information is not being kept; cookies are simply a way to identify your computer.

WTL may contain links to other websites. Once you click on them to leave our internet casa, you are no longer under our loving gaze and care, and we don’t have any control of the goings-on of that website.

This means that we are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting those other sites so while we try to do our due diligence and hand you off to sites you can trust, you should definitely scope the place out first before entering any information. Mmkay?

Who is information shared with?

None of your information will be shared with anyone else unless specifically required, i.e. to arrange delivery of a giveaway prize, etc. We will do everything in our power to keep your details under lock and key in our pink, sparkly diary.

If you have signed up to our email list, you will get emails sometimes that are there to help you remember to love us and visit us again on WTL, and we have sent out the required forms to be compliant through our email delivery provider.

Opting out

Emails from WTL have an unsubscribe option at the bottom should you decide that you’re sick of hearing from us. Feel free to unsubscribe at any time. We’d super-duper miss you, but we get it and wish you well. The next blogger you subscribe to just better not be cooler, funnier, or better than us.

Third-party advertising

We have third-party advertisements on our site, and that third party may use non-personally identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) during your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that are catered to you and more likely to be something you’ll even want.

These companies typically use a cookie or third-party web beacon to collect this information.

Again, all very standard, and not something we can advise you on, but if you need to know then visit NAI Consumer Opt-Out to find out what it’s all about and how to opt-out of this.

As per CCPA- We do NOT sell your information, all that is tracked is neutral information (demographic data and cookies, etc.) collected for the purposes of ad network targeting.

Ad networks that She Loves Tennis is a part of:

  • Google Adsense
  • Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, like most every site online. This keeps track of what you’re reading, for how long, and where in the world you are. If we were to get ambitious and figure out how to use this service we could also see your age, your gender, and how the hell you ended up here (It was probably Instagram). That being said, we can’t even begin to identify you, so please don’t worry.

Disclosures

Amazon Associates Disclosure

WTL is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com

Basically, if we link to Amazon products and you click and buy them, we may make a very small commission to add to our wine money piggy bank. This is at no additional cost to you, so everybody wins!

Reviews and sponsored posts

If we have been sent something free for review, or have been paid to write a post, we will always disclose this in the post by marking it as Sponsored, Ad, or Gifted. We always try to make sure the things we review or are paid to write about are things you’d be interested in, and if not, we’ll at least make these posts entertaining to read, so please bear with us.

Affiliate marketing partners

Our content may also contain links to third-party products or services that are monetized using Skimlinks, Awin, Sovrn, Impact, or other such affiliate marketing partners or programs (“Affiliate Links”). If you purchase a product or service through an Affiliate Link, we may receive revenue from that purchase.

Blog Disclaimer – Things We Take Responsibility For

Content: This is a website cooperative with multiple contributors. All opinions expressed here are based on our own experiences, lifestyle, and observations. We are responsible for the content – not anyone else. Any employers, group, organization, agency, or entity that we may be associated with is not responsible for our awesomeness.

Mistakes and Stupidity: We may make a mistake or say something dumb or something you don’t agree with. We’re only human and make mistakes just like everyone else, but we own and are solely responsible for any mistakes.

Differences in Opinions and Changing our Minds: Because there are multiple editors, and we all have our own thoughts and opinions, you may see articles that have conflicting opinions. Also, over time our thoughts and opinions may change and current posts may express different opinions than in earlier posts by the same editor. Basically, we are open-minded and may even change our minds sometimes, so don’t hold us to anything, ya dig?

Bad Decisions: Our intention is to do no harm with the content in WTL. While everything we write is intended to inspire and empower tennis chicks to be their best selves, some of it may not be right for you and should be taken with a grain of salt (and maybe a tequila shot if you’re feeling feisty). In essence – please use common sense, and contact your physician before changing your diet or exercise regimen.

Comments: We love comments. Absolutely live, laugh, love, and appreciate them. But we live, laugh, love, and appreciate ourselves as well and reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever – such as those that are abusive, profane, rude, perverted, or spammy.

We are not responsible for the contents of blog comments. No, that’s really what she/he/they said. And we’re not responsible for any laws that may be broken in any country through the content, implication, and intent of blog comments.
