If Tennis Were A Cocktail, It Would be the “Sweet Spot”

Summer is the season for playing tennis. It’s also the perfect season to watch our favorite pros battle it out on the courts during Wimbledon. And if you’re like me, you like sipping on a refreshing tennis-themed cocktail while doing it!

On our quest to find every tennis-themed cocktail in existence, we found one from across the pond! It’s called the Sweet Spot, which is served at the Pitch Bar & Eatery in Cardiff, UK. This English eatery is big on tennis, and their beverage is big on deliciousness! And the best part about this tennis-themed cocktail (other than its amazing taste) is that there are only three ingredients.

The Sweet Spot combines Midori Melon liqueur, Maraschino Cherry liqueur, and freshly squeezed lemon juice for a delicious summery treat. You’d think it would be red because of the “cherry” liqueur, but it’s actually the color of a tennis ball! And if tennis had a flavor, it would hands down be that of The Sweet Spot!

You can make one or two at a time, or whip up a pitcher (or two, or more). It’s the perfect libation to serve for your end of season league parties or while watching Wimbledon. This year’s event runs from July 3 thru July 26, but you already know that, of course 😉 !

Ingredients

  

• 3 oz. Midori Melon liqueur
• 1 1/2 oz. Maraschino Cherry liqueur
• 1 1/2 oz. lemon juice, freshly squeezed

Instructions

 

• Combine all ingredients in an ice filled shaker and shake a few times. Pour into an ice filled glass.

Notes

For making a pitcher, find the servings, and click on the pink number 1 to change it to however many servings you like. A quart-sized pitcher would be 5 servings. A 2-quart pitcher would be 10 servings, etc.
